Fortega specialise in the specification and installation of high quality and reliable rack net implementations.

What Rack Nets Do.
Warehouse Safety
Our product range includes rack netting, mezzanine safety netting, handrail netting and catchment netting solutions that are designed to assist in the streamlining of safety within your operation.
Rack nets attach to the back of pallet racking and act as a guard against falling objects. This is a necessity where walkways or working areas sit behind racking.
Why
Racking safety netting provides an alternative solution to the steel anti-collapse meshing that you may have seen provided on systems previously.
Whilst both systems have their place and can be used as per your requirements, there are several benefits of using a netting system as opposed to the more traditional system.
Maintenance, load containment, and speed of installation allow rack nets to outperform steel mesh alternatives.
Materials
Fortega’s rack nets are produced using polypropylene mesh in several gauge sizes.
Panels are carefully measured and produced to ensure flex and absorption strength remains in the system and not the pallet racking frame.
Steel components are purpose designed to form the support structure and offer stress retention in the event of an object impact.
Safety Net Applications for Logistics.
We offer a variety of netting options alongside barriers and other safety products, for a broader safety implementation.

Why Choose Our Rack Netting?
Our rack nets are meticulously designed to offer exceptional durability, flexibility, and ease of use. Crafted with industrial-grade materials, they deliver reliable performance in demanding environments.
Advantages of Nets over Steel Mesh
Reduced maintenance of system compared to steel that may require the replacement of screens if the system has taken an impact.
The system is designed to contain pallets of up to 1,000kg to assist in a safer working environment and reduce the risk of falling debris causing a health and safety incident.
Installation of systems are typically a third quicker to put into operation than steel options.
Once in place the system should require zero maintenance.

Strength Ratings.
There are three systems that Fortega utilise for our rack net safety systems. These work alongside your safety risk assessment and chosen for your specific needs. This maintains a cost-effective approach.
- 2.3mm Gauge – Used where only material or packaging material is to be contained up to a weight of 50kg.
- 3mm Gauge โ Used when pallet containment or material is to be contained up to a weight of 500kg.
- 5mm Gauge โ Used to contain pallet movement from the beam completely and contain a weight load of up to a weight of 1,000kg.
All of the above systems are configured on the same methodology and fixings so should any change in material be required then the systems can be altered without having to re-engineer the base structure.

Key Benefits of Rack Safety Nets.
By implementing our high-performance rack net installation, you create a safer environment for your team to work in.
Durable Products: Polypropylene is a high-tensile material which is used for rack nets and mezzanine netting because of its strength and impact absorption.
Custom Solutions: Tailored systems specific to your needs. Fortega’s rack nets components are stock items, but the finished netting and hardware structure is developed for your racking or mezzanine. This ensures optimal performance.
Material Colour: Reassure your workforce with high contract colours or follow your company brand colours from a range to work in large format. Colour coding areas with netting also helps to highlight risks in the workplace.
Repair, Replace & Reconfigure: A net can be dethatched from the main structure and replaced with ease. Repairs can be achieved if they are small which can be a huge cost benefit and when your rack aisle grows, additional netting can be added in small or large sections.
Enhanced Safety: In the event of objects falling, netting can be designed and installed to allow the object to drop into a controlled area, or to be caught. Other fall protection systems are not so versatile.
