Materials We Use To Produce Aisle Marker Signs.
At Fortega, our aisle sign products are generally made from high density plastic, often as flat panels, they are attached the storage structures with bolts, adhesive or magnetics.
Materials we use:
Expanded PVC – This is a mid-density plastic, and the most common substrate used for internal signs. Adhesive and print can be applied directly. It can be formed so the surface presents in the direction needed and can be easily installed in most situations.
Aluminium Composite – A union of thin aluminium sheets, sandwiching a polyethylene (PE) (typically) core. It is an extremely durable solution for indoors so we usually recommend this for outdoor use, as most other sign manufacturers would.
High Impact Polystyrene (HIPS) – referred to by many in the sign industry as styrene, the material is rigid, strong and versatile, making it ideal for installation. It can be equipped with an adhesive back, pads, or drilled and attached to racking, shelving, storage mezzanines or even walls if needed. This is a thinner and cheaper product, ideal where budgets are tight.
